- Abstract:
Jordan Education Initiative (JEI), one of Her Majesty's Queen Rania Al-Abdullah non- profit organizations, was created as a pioneer model for developing education, based on fostering ingenuity, utilizing the power of technology and coupling it with proven modern teaching strategies. The program will position 176 ICT (Information and Communication Technology) graduates/intern in one of the 176 targeted schools for nine months, utilizing its existing IT infrastructure. During this period, the interns will be provided with comprehensive soft and practical technical training packages coupled with structured mentorship support system; followed by a 3 month on-the-job training in reputable companies. Such one-year program, will not only bridge the gap between the education outputs and the Job Market hence improves the life and job prospects of youth in partnership with the public and private sector, it will also support the schools in managing all the technologies to create an interactive learning environment. This impact evaluation study will highlight the program effect and the lessons learned for fund raising and feature expanding.

Intervention Overview
- Intervention:
The 176 ICT graduates participants will be better prepared to join the job market, have successful careers, and become productive citizens in their communities. Throughout the internship period (9 months in the schools+3 months in companies =12 months), the intern is required to engage in volunteering and community integration activities in the schools; such involvement will build the community’s, schools’ and interns' capacity, as well as, paving the way to transform the chosen Schools into (Community Hubs) that provide IT support services and recreational activities for the community, where 176 interns from targeted local communities will be positioned in respectable and matching jobs. In return, the trained interns pledge to commit 350 service learning hours during the 9 months internship in the ,schools, during which they integrate ICT acquired skills reaching 10,000 people from their communities over a period of 12 months. Furthermore, Fursati Littamayyoz Program will implement several initiatives that aim at bridging the gap between the education outputs and the Job Market, hence improving the life and job prospects of youth within the targeted schools and Jordanian univers.

Method Details
- Details of Evaluation Approach:
A baseline was measured for the enrolled youth describing their technical and personal skills, those indicators will be monitored and tested frequently to check for the progress. The technical exam is a number of questions measured the participants knowledge in IT related issues, the score is 50/50 while the interview measures the interpersonal skills 50/50, the total score for each participant is 100/100, the cutoff was 60/100, so the participants with scores less than 60 were rejected and the participants with scores 60 or higher were accepted to join the program. The technical test scores will be mainly the variable to test the regression discontinuity, this test will be measured 3 times, first for the baseline, and second in the mid of the program and third time at the end of the program.
